Two Thomas the Trains
Luke's friend Brandon came over to play & he's going to be Thomas for Halloween too! We had the boys get into their costumes for a quick photo op...

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
Star Wars
Lately Madison & Luke have been very interested in Star Wars (much to Mike's delight). Mike still has his figurines from childhood & Darth Vader, C-3PO & R2-D2 have been huge hits with the kids. Mike decided to be Darth Vader for Halloween & when his mask arrived they played with little else all evening...

Big Boy Bed
Now that we've officially started potty training Luke (cold turkey) he needed to move out of his crib & into a big boy bed. What else but Lightning McQueen?!
I stole these pictures during nap time...

Uesugi Farms
Friday afternoon we took a little family field trip with Brigit & Elizabeth and Claire & Lauren to Uesugi Farms in Morgan Hill. It's a great pumpkin patch but it also offers a train, carousel & corn maze.
Madison's favorite is the "horseys"
Luke is not a big fan of the carousel & neither is Brigit so they hung out & cheered us every time we passed...
There was a beautiful miniature sunflower garden that the kids could walk along paths throughout
Unfortunately about a minute after these pictures were taken Madison was stung by a bee. She collapsed into hysterics & the only thing that calmed her was me saying we should go home. Of course she didn't want to do that!
Greta Goes to School!
Each week Madison's class studies a new letter. Every child is allowed to bring in something to share that starts with that letter. After clearing it with the teachers, Saint Andrew's front office & a very nervous Grandpa Silly, Madison was given the go ahead to bring my parent's new puppy Greta for "G" week! To state the obvious she was a HUGE hit. Madison was so proud & beaming from ear to ear :-)
Greta made about 4 laps around the circle so that each child got a chance to pet her. Ms. Lewis said a couple of times, "Raise your hand if you didn't get a chance to pet Greta." Half the hands in the room would go up. She was in high demand!
