Final, Final Birthday Celebration

The Florios couldn't make Madison's birthday party so we had a final, final birthday celebration for Madison @ their house last week.
Very excited for our strawberry cupcakes!

The best part? A homemade birthday card from Paige! (Madison had just said to me earlier that day, "Mommy, I love Paigey. She's my best friend!" So cute!! :-)

Slip n' Slide

Madison got a Slip n' Slide for her birthday (thanks Imelli clan, Brigit & E!!!) With the recent heat wave it has been a HUGE life saver. For 3 days strait the minute the kids woke up from their afternoon naps they were on the "water slide" (as they call it) non-stop until dinner time.

They don't quite get the slide part but loved to run down to the end & jump into the pool :-)

Final Birthday Celebration

This is the final chapter in "Madison's Birthday 2009" extravaganza. She had to wait until after tax season ended to have a "real" party so last Sunday morning we had a family gathering in our backyard. It was a great & quiet ending to a marathon celebration of our little girl.

When Uncle Jason & Aunt Jill walk into the room everyone else disappears. The kids are smitten. Madison turned to me at breakfast & said, "Mommy I want to sit with Aunt Jill because I love her." Aunt Jill had to eat her breakfast with a toddler on her lap :-)

Madison's birthday month continues...

Madison's birthday (April 9th) landed during Spring Break this year so we couldn't celebrate with her classmates until the following week. She was so gracious & even thanked me in front of her class for bringing cupcakes :-) Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!

Sure enough the Easter Bunny made a stop by our house! He delivered baskets full of fun stuff for the kids & hid our eggs so that we could go on a hunt :-)
Just like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny went overboard & had to stick some stuff under the baskets...

I was about to leave for work & Madison walks out of her room in this ensemble. Priceless.

I had to throw this picture in here. Five minutes before this picture was taken they were at each others throats. If you look closely you can see Madison's arm around Luke's waist :-)

Decorating Easter Eggs

Madison dyed Easter eggs with her class & was very excited to do more at home. Luke slept a little longer than she did so she had the run of the table for awhile

Madison's Birthday Dinner

We rounded up all the Grandparents (including Gigou & Jerry) and headed to Buca di Beppo for a birthday dinner. I think the kids had the most fun playing out in the rain before we were seated.

After we sat down we immediately dove into present opening. Gigou & Jerry gave Maddie 2 adorable outfits...
