Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our beautiful family & friends! We didn't do much for the holiday (luckily, because little Luke got sick). Georgia & Jerry (Aunt Jill's parents) hosted a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner! It was nice to have as many people as possibly at one celebration. Of course we missed Bagga Glen who was in Minnesota, The Laffertys in Italy & the Carters back in Philly. True to Gigou form the party was perfect, marred only by the fact that Luke-man seemed to get really lethargic about 10 minutes after we got there. We didn't linger too long & sure enough when we got home the poor little guy had a 102.3 temp. Luckily it was gone by the next morning & hasn't reappeared.
Daddy & Luke...already showing signs of exhaustion

But Maddie came for a good time! She & Grandpa Silly sharing some laughs over a couple of beers...

Poor little man trying to rally

Gigou got the kids little marker & coloring book sets which of course, they loved! Daddy & Aunt Beth helping them with their master pieces...

Half of the Carter Family...Jerry, Beth, Georgia, Jason & Jill. We missed you Ryan, Kim, Dylan, Danny & Drew!

Thanksgiving at Grace

We had a little Thanksgiving celebration at Madison's preschool on Monday. Only about half of her class was there but the kids still had fun. The room was so crowded that I had a hard time getting pictures but I was able to grab a few.
They had Thanksgiving cards out for the kids to decorate. Madison giving me a half-hearted smile as she works on hers...

Who wants traditional pumpkin pie when there are cupcakes?!

Time to run off some of that sugar

Lake Tahoe - Part VI

Last Tahoe post...I made another attempt to get a Christmas card picture but to no avail. Still some cute photos though...

The beautiful geese made an appearance

Luke was testing his luck...sometimes wanting to get too close to the geese :-)

Mike & I were kicking ourselves for not getting a family photo by the beautiful lake. This is close as we got, missing one HUGE part...Daddy!!

Before we headed home Luke had to be stripped down (he was soaking wet & covered in sand.) He had to take a quick snuggle break with Aunt Jill before he would get dressed again :-)
It was the perfect vacation! Thank you SO much Grandpa Silly & Bagga Judy!! Happy Birthday Bagga!!!

Lake Tahoe - Part V

We had a fabulous dinner @ the Lone Eagle Grill. The kids were very well behaved (which is always a worry at a nice restaurant.)
Madison & Aunt Jill analyzing Madison's drawings

The Luker's & the Luker himself (in case you are wondering, Luke's legal name is "Michael Luker Allen" :-)

Grandpa Silly's lap was a hot commodity when the natives got restless...

...Luke's turn

On to drinks by the fire pit...Jill, Jason & Jude

The kids were more interested in the hammock again & not the fire
No, Madison doesn't have a rash around her mouth...that's chocolate ice cream :-) Saturday was Bagga Judy's actual birthday so we had to celebrate!

Lake Tahoe - Part IV

The best part about this vacation was that we didn't need any entertainment for the kids. They were happy to spend the entire day on the beach.
Luke & Grandpa looking for boats

It was actually blazing hot during the day (odd for the middle of November.) Aunt Jill & Uncle Jason with the little ones...

...but not matter how hot it got Madison wouldn't take off her beanie :-)

Sister & brother lounging in the hammock

Heading for dinner (now they each have a horsey to ride)

Lake Tahoe - Part III

A vain attempt to get a good Christmas card picture...it was so hard to get them both to look/smile at the camera at the same time!!

I gave up & just settled for getting some cute pictures
Maddie & her Grandpa deep in conversation

Lake Tahoe - Part II

I took over 100 pictures this weekend so I had to divide up the posts. There are a few more coming but it's mostly just pictures (very little commentary :-)

Tired little girl & her Grandpa Silly

Luke-man so tired that he's giddy

The monkeys

Well rested & ready for breakfast. Luke was Uncle Jason's shadow ALL weekend. Maddie would barely leave Aunt Jill's side as well.

Maddie hitches a ride on Uncle Jason's shoulders. Luke was SO upset! He kept whining, "Jason, Jason, Jason" until he got his turn...

...so happy now that he has his Uncle Jason back :-)
