Movie in the Park

Friday night Willow Glen was showing a movie at a park downtown...CARS!! We couldn't pass up a chance to see Luke's favorite movie let alone outdoors. We packed a picnic dinner & headed to the show.
Munching on popcorn, waiting for showtime...

I think Luke was a little taken aback by the large screen & loud sound...he spent the first 10 minutes of the movie with his head resting on Daddy leg :-)

Monkeys

Our little monkeys...

After Hayden's birthday party on Saturday we stopped for dinner @ the Elephant Bar. They had monkey masks for the kids...of all ages...
Luke giving us his roar!

Maddie's turn!

And now Daddy throwing in his move :-)

I may not be wearing my mask but I'm still adorable:-)

Hayden's 3rd Birthday

Saturday Madison's preschool friend, Hayden, celebrated his 3rd birthday with a pool party. The kids had a great time. Their weren't many kids from the class that could make it but it was still a blast...
Madison & Michael in the hot tub (the only way we could let them swim without getting in the pool ourselves was to contain them to the 3 ft. deep hot tub :-)

Luke-man

Yes, those are concrete burns down Luke's nose & upper lip. The kid has one speed - a dead run - and sometimes the ground can't keep up with him

Time for the pinata! Luke had the honor to go first because he was the youngest (that could walk anyway.)

Maddie takes a swing at it...

A quick pose for Mommy after they grabbed a few toys from the pinata's belly

Madison is sick & tired of taking pictures at this point & isn't afraid to say it!

The birthday boy Hayden blowing out his candles
Time for cake!
Luke the Savage diving right in

Happy Birthday Hayden!

The Olympics

The Olympics are huge in our house right now. Mike & I haven’t gone to bed before midnight in over a week. Needless to say the kids have happily joined in the fun. Everyday Madison asks, “Mommy, are we going to watch the Toothpicks? She has finally learned to say "Olympics" but we still call it "Toothpicks" in her honor :-)

Yesterday while we were watching the Men’s 200m Luke turned to the T.V. & yelled, "RUN, RUN, RUN!" We couldn’t contain our laughter! Mike & I are pretty tame fans, I can't imagine where he picked that up. There's a lot of fire in that little man :-)

Grandpa Silly's 60th Birthday!

I (Mommy/Jennifer/Jenn/the narrator) sincerely apologize for not posting any updates over the past 2 weeks. I am trying to finish up taking the CPA exam so there's not much time left for anything else. But we were able to find the time Sunday to celebrate Grandpa Silly's 60th birthday! :-)
Madison took care of opening Grandpa's birthday cards for him...

She was gracious enough to let him at least read them

Luke is trying to hide from the camera

He finally gives me a clear shot

Grandpa Silly loves his t-shirts & this one is perfect for him :-)

Birthday hugs from the Luke-man...

...and a snuggle from Maddie

A birthday wouldn't be a birthday in the Luker family without "snack" (ice cream :-)

July 2008

We've posted the link to our July pictures & warning!...there are a ton. Here are a few cute ones that haven't been posted on the blog yet...

Our first family trip to the movies! We tried to see "Space Chimps"...cute but Luke is still a little young to sit through a feature length film :-)

Luke riding his horsey...

Getting kind of annoyed that his horsey isn't moving...

Giddy-up!
